Veteran NFL Player Agent Zeke Sandhu to speak at 2015 Football BC Provincial Conference
Football BC will be holding its 6th annual Provincial Conference on April 17-18 at Holy Cross Regional High School in Surrey.
A Safe Contact clinic will be offered free on April 19 as well ($75 value). Coaches who wish to attend the Safe Contact clinic must attend the both days of the Conference.
Registration is $95 for each individual coach, or $380 for a group (up to five coaches).

Vancouver-raised Zeke Sandhu is perhaps one of the biggest names in the National Football League off the field. He has been
representing professional athletes since 1999 and his company, Elite Athlete Management, represents some of the biggest names today in the game including the likes of NFL Rookie of the Year Odell Beckham Jr. (New York Giants), Super Bowl Champion LeGarrette Blount (New England Patriots), Super Bowl Champion Ricardo Lockette (Seattle Seahawks), Super Bowl Champion Alvin Bailey (Seattle Seahawks), and Jarius Wright (Minnesota Vikings) to name a few.
One of Sandhu's clients who will be hoping to make a big splash later this month is
Vancouver's own Christian Covington, the defensive tackle who played collegiately at Rice University and high school football locally with the Vancouver College Fighting Irish.
Sandhu has represented numerous 1st round draft picks and is representing five of the top 150 rated players this
year's upcoming NFL Draft.
The Football BC Provincial Conference is event welcomes coaches, players and administrators and features speakers from all across the football world at every level including CIS, NCAA, CFL, NFL, Junior, High School and Community.
Coaches can also receive their NCCP Introduction to Competition training at this clinic.

Team BC announces U16 & U18 May Camp invitation list
Team BC has announced the list of players to be invited to the 5th annual May Long Weekend camp taking place in Richmond, BC.
The camp runs from May 16 to May 18 with on-field sessions taking place at Minoru Park and on-field sessions, including an opportunity for the players to meet and interact with representatives from at least seven CIS Universities, taking place at the Sheraton Vancouver Airport Hotel.

BC Tough Football Development Camps
The 2015 BC Tough Football Development Camps, presented by Football BC, the BC Lions and Game Ready, are a series of non-padded camps that will serve as preparation for each
player's respective spring camps as well as prepare those players invited to a Team BC camp.
Pros (from the BC Lions, Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Edmonton Eskimos) and provincial coaches will come together to create a high level of coaching for each player.
Each practice will work on football speed & agility, position specific technique & fundamentals, safe contact drills, 1 on
1's, and skelly. Each practice will then be followed by a one-hour off-field football session discussing topics such as nutrition, recruiting, video and goal setting.
No pads. Special guests each week plus prizes and recognition for players of the week.

Football Canada makes Safe Contact mandatory
Football Canada officially announced last week that all amateur football coaches across the country are required to get
"Safe Contact trained."
Included in this announcement is the requirement for all head coaches to take the e-learning module
"Making Head Way in Football" available for free from Coach.ca.
Football BC has made Safe Contact mandatory since April 2014, while all Football BC in BC are required to have
"Making Head Way in Football" completed as part of its concussion policy. The
"Making Head Way in Football" component has been part of Football
BC's concussion policy for the past two seasons.
To satisfy the Safe Contact trained requirement, coaches must:
1. Take the online "Making Head Way in Football" e-learning course
2. Register and attend a Safe Contact clinic
Football BC will be offering the Safe Contact clinic free-of-charge on April 19 for all those coaches that attend the Football BC Provincial Conference on April 17-18.

Football BC elementary school skills program
Football BC's elementary school skills program is open to all school aged children and is conducted during regular school hours usually as part of P.E. class.
This program allows kids to learn basic football skills from Football BC coaches as well as volunteer players from local high schools.
