Team BC names U18 and Grade 8 rosters for Tanoa Bowl
Team BC has announced the rosters for its U18 team and Grade 8 team that will be competing at the Tanoa Bowl Classic on Sunday, December 28.

All players that have made the team are reminded to make their payments by TODAY (Wednesday) at this
Team BC departs on December 26 and returns on
Grade 8 Team BC will face NW Cougars at 10 am, while U18 Team BC will face WA Vasa at 12:15 pm. All games take place at Auburn Memorial Stadium.
General admission is $8. Senior citizens 60-or-over are $5. Kids 10-and-under are free.

A few weeks ago at the CFL Alumni Association Luncheon during Grey Cup week, Football BC had the pleasure of chatting with former BC Lions and Canadian Football Hall-of-Famer Lui Passaglia.
Lui was being honoured at the event by the CFL Alumni Association as their Man of the Year. He spoke about the honour, some of his best memories playing amateur football and gives us a very positive update on his recent health concerns.

The schedule appears below. (Times are subject to change. Age groups may be split into different times for the larger events but each session will take place during the times listed. Athletes should arrive no later than 30 minutes prior to the start of each session for check-in).

The 2015 Combine Series is an opportunity for all amateur football players in BC ages 10-18 to undergo standard Combine testing and be evaluated by Football BC provincial coaches in order to get on the radar for Football BC provincial programs (i.e. Team BC, Senior Bowl). Attendance in a Combine session is required in order to eligible for Football BC's provincial program in the 2015 calendar year.

Deadline to nominate Coach of the Year extended to THIS FRIDAY
The nomination form for the 2014 Coach of the Year awards is now available.

As per usual, there will be two awards you can nominate your respective coaches for: The Community Coach of the Year Award (open to a coach of a Community team or BC Junior team) and the Scholastic Coach of the Year Award (open to a coach of a BC High School team or University team).
The award is open to any coach responsible for coaching a football team (not limited to only head coaches) who has resided or whose primary coaching responsibility was in BC during the 2014 calendar year. Nominees will be considered on the basis of coaching amateur performance only. The full list of criteria can be found on the nomination form.
The deadline to nominate a coach has been extended to Friday, December 19,
The winners will be honoured at the 2015 Orange Helmet Awards dinner. This year's event will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at The Westin Bayshore in Vancouver. Ticket information will be available at a later date.

Football BC elementary school skills program
Football BC's elementary school skills program is open to all school aged children and is conducted during regular school hours usually as part of P.E. class.
This program allows kids to learn basic football skills from Football BC coaches as well as volunteer players from local high schools.
