Team BC final cut-down camp wrap-up

The final Team BC cut-down camp is now in the books and now it's decision time for the coaches who will have the tough task of putting together the final roster for the three teams - Grade 8, U16, and U18 - that will be traveling to Las Vegas to take part in the High Roller International Football Showdown from January 20-24, 2016.

The final cut-down camp was not without its exciting moments, none more so than when Vanier Cup-winning coach Blake Nill of the UBC Thunderbirds arrived with the Vanier Cup in tow.

Coach Nill addressed the players and then took the time to speak with Football BC as well.

See the video of Coach Nill here.

The final rosters of each team will be announced shortly.

Team BC introduces star-studded coaching staff

From Football BC Technical Director Dino Geremia

Congratulations to all the players who have made it this far in the Team BC selection process!

It is an amazing and exceptional experience to play for your province you are following a long list of football players who have worn that Team BC jersey: Jerome Pathon, Paris Jackson, Angus Reid, Will Loftus, David Mattiazzo, current CFL players Casey Chin and Matthias Goossen and, of course, 18 of the players on this year's UBC Thunderbirds Vanier Cup Championship team.

All these players and many more have taken pride in representing BC nationally and internationally

This year, we are excited to have three of our teams represent the province at the High Roller Tournament & Showcase in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Once again this year I am humbled by the quality of staff that we have coaching and supporting the players. The experience and knowledge of the game that they possess rivals the best staffs across the country and any that we have put together in the past.

All the players have given the coaches difficult decisions to make! Being selected to Team BC is an accomplishment to be proud of and one that you will never forget as you represent football in your province. There is only one Team BC.

BC Tough!
