Senior Bowl 2010
|
|
The proud British Columbia Football tradition continues with the 2010 edition of Senior Bowl. The five day camp is aimed at showcasing the best high school graduating players in the province. Players are chosen based on provincial All Star status and as a result of testing evaluations conducted throughout the province. The premise behind Senior Bowl is to encourage all graduating players to continue their football pursuits with Midget, Junior or University programs. This year has created some issues with regards to the various periods in which spring break has been offered throughout the province. In the process of choosing the dates we have had to consider the spring break periods as well as be sensitive to the many other football events in the province throughout the spring. We hope that every player that has been selected will make every effort to participate in the Senior Bowl. The camp will begin Tuesday March 9 with check in between 12:30-1:00pm practices will begin that afternoon and continue through to Friday afternoon March 12, the camp will conclude with a game on Saturday March 13. We are very fortunate to have the cooperation of the BC Lions as they host us at their practice facility in Surrey BC (10605- 135th St.). The game features BC West (Vancouver Island and Lower Mainland) vs. BC East (Fraser Valley and the Interior). Details on location will be forthcoming. All player listings can be found at http://www.playfootball.bc.ca/senior_bowl.shtml Congratulations! Please complete the registration form and return to Football BC or email Head Coach Dino Geremia at dinogeremia@shaw.ca by Friday February 26 2010. If you are unable to make it please let us know as soon as possible so we can proceed to invite another player in your place. For any out of town players needing a place to stay, Sandman Hotel has put together a packaged deal for participants, more information about this will be available on this website as of February 22. In addition, to this message each player that has made it to Senior Bowl should have received an email from head coach Dino Geremia. If you did not receive any information via email please email dinogeremia@shaw.ca to ensure you are receiving all of the information for camp. |
