The schedule appears below. (Times are subject to change. Athletes should arrive no later than 30 minutes prior to the start of each session for check-in).

The 2015 Combine Series is an opportunity for all amateur football players in BC ages 10-18 to undergo standard Combine testing and be evaluated by Football BC provincial coaches in order to get on the radar for Football BC provincial programs (i.e. Team BC, Senior Bowl). Attendance in a Combine session is required in order to eligible for Football BC's provincial program in the 2015 calendar year.

Senior Bowl registrations now open for Community Star Bowl players and BC High School Football Provincial All-Stars; More invitations to be sent out following tryouts at Football BC Combines

Registration is now open for the 2015 Senior Bowl camp!

Open to players currently in Grade 12 and graduating in June, the purpose of the camp is to encourage players to keep playing football following high school graduation whether it’s in Midget (Community), Junior or University.

2014 BC High School Football provincial all-stars (AAA or AA), 2015 Star Bowl players and 2014 U18 Team BC players are eligible to attend Senior Bowl camp without trying out. For all other players, tryouts will take place as part of Football BC’s Combine Series.

The 2015 Senior Bowl camp will takes place March 17 to 20 culminating with an intrasquad game on Saturday, March 21. The camp will take place at the BC Lions Training Facility (10605 City Parkway, Surrey). The game location is TBD.

Senior Bowl camp gives players and opportunity to receive high-level training from certified Football BC provincial coaches.

*All eligible Grade 12 players may register at this current time. If you are not invited, your payment will be refunded in full.


          

Football BC presents Safe Contact Day

Football BC will be hosting Safe Contact Day on Sunday, February 8 at the Richmond Olympic Oval from 9 am to 5 pm.

Coaches who attend this clinic will be certified “Safe Contact” through the NCCP: Blocking and Tackling.

The cost to attend is $75 (includes manual and t-shirt). The course is free for active players who have already registered for a 2015 Football BC Combine session.

Save the Date: 2015 Football BC Provincial Conference

Football BC will be holding its 6th annual Provincial Conference on April 17-18 at Holy Cross Regional High School in Surrey.

This event welcomes coaches, players and administrators and features speakers from all across the football world at every level including CIS, NCAA, CFL, NFL, Junior, High School and Community.

Coaches can also receive their NCCP Introduction to Competition training at this clinic.

Last year, Football BC welcomed CFL legend Anthony Calvillo as the keynote speaker for this event. Other speakers at last year's event included CFL/CIS and former player Joe Paopao and BC Lions players Shawn Gore and Dean Valli making the "Be more than a bystander" presentation.

A list of this year's presenters will be available at a later time. Registration information will be available shortly.


SFU Spring Football Tryout

Simon Fraser University Defensive Coordinator Abe Elimimian has announced a spring semester tryout day for the upcoming 2015 football season.

The 2015 SFU Football Spring Tryout will take place on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. on Terry Fox Field, four days before NCAA National Letter of Intent Day on February 4, 2015.

The tryout is open to all current SFU students who are enrolled full-time taking at least 12 credit hours, as well as anyone who has completed high school or is currently in grade 12. Registration for the tryout will begin at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2015 in the VIP room located adjacent to the West Gym.

It is strongly encouraged that participants email SFU Defensive Coordinator Abe Elimimian at fbcoach@sfu.ca in advance to communicate their intent to tryout. For additional information, contact the Football Department at Simon Fraser University at 778-782-3759.

SFU is currently conducting a national search to find its next head coach of the football program to replace Jacques Chapdelaine, who left the university to become offensive coordinator of the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League.

Chapdelaine led the Clan to a 2-9 record in 2014, his only season as head coach at SFU.

Football BC elementary school skills program

Football BC's elementary school skills program is open to all school aged children and is conducted during regular school hours usually as part of P.E. class.

This program allows kids to learn basic football skills from Football BC coaches as well as volunteer players from local high schools.
