Team BC at the 2015 Kamloops Performance Legacy Games

U13 and Grade 8 Team BC will be holding a mini-camp and showcase game as part of the Legacy Performance Games in Kamloops for July 24 to 26.

The games will take place on July 26 at Hillside Stadium.

For those players who have registered and paid, please watch your emails for more information on meeting times. For those who have not yet filled out the waiver form, please download it here and email it back to as soon as possible.

The complete team rosters will be available at a later date.


Football BC - Russell Wilson Passing Academy Winners

Football BC is pleased to announce the winners of the Russell Wilson Passing Academy contest.

As a special surprise, we've been now informed that we have additional spots to give away. So, instead of choosing just five winners, we would like to congratulate the following 13 winners who will get the amazing opportunity to work out with Super Bowl champion Russell Wilson on July 10 at Swangard Stadium.

BC Lions Play with the Pros -
July 12

One of the BC Lions' most popular and recognizable community programs, Play with the Pros is an annual free initiative that involves Lions players teaching boys and girls the basics of football by having them participate in a non-contact skills clinic.

Time: 11 am to 1 pm (registration begins at 10:30 am)
Ages: 6 - 12
Cost: Free!

Upcoming UBC Camps

Vancouver - Thunderbird Stadium Skills / I.D. Camp - August 9, 2015

Date: Sunday August 9th, 2015
Time: 11am - 5pm
Location: UBC Thunderbird Stadium

Age Groups: Junior 12 - 14 / Senior 15 - 17

The camp will consist of 3 practices (2 on-field & 1 classroom) over a 7 hour period, plus a session on UBC academic requirements and tips on how to be recruited. On-field skills will be taught and full equipment will be required for these practices. The classroom session will include a breakdown of the film that is taken in the morning sessions and it will be highly personalized in terms of feedback.

Langley - Specialist Camp (Punters/Kickers - Long snappers) - August 10, 2015

Date: MONDAY, August 10th, 2015
Time: 6pm - 8:30pm
Location: Brookswood Secondary, Langley B.C.

Age Groups: 14 - 17

This camp will teach players the core fundamentals of either Punting & Kicking, or Long Snapping. Both groups will practice at the same time, but be instructed by different coaches.

We will break down kicking and snapping skills to their smallest pieces and teach players progression drills to put them all together.

Vancouver - 6th annual Winter Skills Camp - 
March 5, 2016

Date: Saturday March 5, 2016
Time: 10am - 5pm
Location: UBC Thunderbird Stadium

Age Groups: Junior 12 - 14 / Senior 15 - 17

Football BC announces latest cut-downs for U16 & U18 Team BC

Football BC has announced the latest cut-downs for the U16 and U18 Team BC.

The U16 Team BC list has been cut-down to 50 players, while the U18 Team BC list has been cut-down to 54 players.

Congratulations to all the players who have made it to the next cut-down.

Next steps and upcoming events:

- There will be one more cut-down for both U16 and U18 Team BC as we move towards the final playing roster. Both teams are expected to compete December following the conclusion of their regular seasons at the Tanoa Classic. (The Grade 8 Team BC is also expected to compete at this time).

- There will be another one-day practice/team activity scheduled in August in Metro Vancouver (date TBD). Please watch your emails for this information.

- There will be a final practice scheduled in mid-December also in Metro Vancouver. The final team traveling roster will be named shortly after that time. The tentative date for this practice is Saturday, December 12.


Jay Prepchuk New Directions Summer Camps

Join our third annual coed camps. Each camp runs for one week for new and/or experienced players.

Focused on fun, players will be taught positional football skills and development.

Each day will finish with a flag football tournament.

Nominations are welcomed for the 2016 Inductions to the BC Football Hall of Fame.

Categories include: Athlete (both amateur and professional), Builder, Pioneer, Media and Teams (both amateur and professional).

The Hall is looking for worthy candidates from across the province of British Columbia, especially in the amateur categories.

Football BC elementary school skills program

Football BC's elementary school skills program is open to all school aged children and is conducted during regular school hours usually as part of P.E. class.

This program allows kids to learn basic football skills from Football BC coaches as well as volunteer players from local high schools.
