Football BC announces 56-player cut-down roster for U-18
Football BC has announced the list of 56 players who have advanced to the final cut-down stage of tryouts for the U-18 Team BC.
The players who have been named to the U-18 Team BC cut-down roster will be invited to take part in a final mini-camp during December. At the end of the December camp, the final roster of 36 players will be selected to compete at the 2014 FBU International Games in San Antonio, Texas.

Registration is now open for U-16 Team BC players invited to compete at the Red River Cup
Registration is now open for the 40 players that were selected to be part of the U-16 Team BC that will compete at the 2013 Red River Cup at Investors Group Field in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
The total cost for participation is $1,700. This includes tournament fees, flights, accommodations, meals and player clothing packages (including game jerseys).

2013 BCCFA Provincial Flag championships goes this weekend in Kelowna
Provincial flag champions in the under-10, under-12, under-14 and under-16 divisions, respectively, will be crowned this weekend at the Capital News Centre in Kelowna, BC.
The action gets under at 9 am on Saturday, June 8 with round robin pool play in the morning and the first two playoff rounds plus fill-tiered consolation play for all teams not advancing through to the championship brackets of play in the afternoon.
On Sunday, starting at 9 am, the final three championship playoff rounds will take place along with full age division tiered consolations play.

All teams will play a full schedule of games of games on both Saturday and Sunday. Teams are asked to visit the Master Scoreboard after completion of Qualifying Preliminary playoff game to determine the time and location of your
team's next games.
This year's U-16 boys provincial champions will be advancing to Football
Canada's National Flag Football Championship in Regina, Saskatchewan from July 25 to 28, 2013.
Tryouts for BC under-18 girls flag team is this Saturday in Kelowna
Tryouts for the U-18 provincial flag football girls will take place thus Saturday, June 8 at 5:30 pm on Field #5 at the Capital News Centre in Kelowna.
Players who are selected will represent BC at the U-18 Girls Football Canada National Flag Football Championship in Regina, Saskatchewan from July 25 to 28.
In order to be eligible, the girls must be a resident of BC and born in 1996 or later.
For those selected, the entry fee is $300 per player and covers flights, transfers, housing & meals plus a Football BC clothing kit.

Football BC would like to congratulate members of the Coquitlam Tiger-Cats and their head coach, Marc Beswick, for being crowned the 2013 U-19 Provincial Flag champions at the event that took place this past Sunday at Hugh Boyd Park in Richmond.
The members of the winning team are: Kyle Miller, Jordan Chin, Jordan Kennedy, Conner McKee and Brad Lyons.

Football BC to field three teams in FBU National Championship tournament; Register for tryouts now!
Football BC is excited to announce that, in addition to the expansion of our Team BC program with the addition of a U-16 team, we will be fielding three teams in the FBU National Championship.
The FBU National Championship is a 64-team tournament that plays off in regional brackets and ends up with the final four competing in the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas during the week of the US Army All American Bowl game.
Football BC will be fielding teams at the U-13 (6th grade), U-14 (7th grade) and U-15 (8th grade) divisions, respectively. All three teams will be selected from players who attend one of the two tryout sessions that are coming up in late July.

Jay Prepchuk will be holding his Summer QB camp on June 22-23 at Renfrew Park in Vancouver. The camp, coached by Prepchuk and Jon Roney (University of Waterloo QB), is limited to 20 participants.

Simon Fraser Western Canadian All Star Camp
The annual Simon Fraser Western Canadian All Star Camp will take place from July 3-6 at Simon Fraser University.
This full-contact camp prepares athletes to be the best they can be through the highest quality instruction in a fun and positive environment. The staff consists of SFU coaches as well as guest coaches and there will be six practices over the course of camp culminating in a controlled game on the last day.
The camp is open to players from age 9 - 17. The cost of the camp is $375 for commuters and $560 for live-in. Single day attendance is $90.

UBC T-Birds Football Pass & Run Fundamentals Camps 2013
The UBC Thunderbirds have released their camp schedule for 2013.
Camps will be held in a number of locations including
Vancouver, Vancouver Island and Kelowna.
All camps are for players aged 12-17 and include lunch, jersey and individual assessment.

Lawyer Milloy & Golden Tate Football Camp
The Lawyer Milloy and Golden Tate Football Camp will be taking place from July
14-17, 2013 at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington.
Campers learn from outstanding veteran college and high school coaches and the staff is complimented with Lawyer Milloy and Golden Tate and current and/or former members of the Seattle Seahawks.
Campers are grouped by age, position, ability and experience to allow coaches to progressively teach basic and advanced techniques to best benefit each group. Campers are taught at an approximately 10:1 ratio.

- Brain Injury Film Festival presents "Head Games"
The Brain Injury Program in Fraser Health is running a film festival in June as part of Brain Injury Awareness Month.
On Tuesday, June 18 at 7 pm they will be presenting Head Games
- a documentary dealing with concussions and based on the book written by former Ivy League football player and wrestler Christopher Nowinski.
The festival takes place over four Tuesdays at Douglas College in New Westminster.

The Damon Allen High School Quarterback Challenge has been postponed to Friday, December 13.
The event will be held at the Richmond Olympic Oval.
The event is open to all high school-aged quarterbacks and participants have an opportunity to win a scholarship.
