New Provincial Flag Champions crowned

The 2014 BCCFA Provincial Flag Football Championships turned out to be a banner weekend particularly for teams from North Surrey and North Delta, who combined to take home four of the five divisional titles.

The winners of this year's provincial flag crowns are listed below.


U10: North Surrey T-Birds

U12: North Delta Longhorns

U14: Royal City Hyacks Orange

U16: North Delta Broncos

U19: North Surrey Ravens

Congratulations to all the winners, and a big round of applause to all of this year's participating teams. We can't wait to see you all in action again next Spring!

Team BC U16 registration now overdue


For all those players named to one of the two U16 Team BC squads - Blue or Orange - your registration and payment is now overdue.

If you have not yet made your payment, as well as submitted your Athlete Information Form and a copy of your passport or government-issued photo ID, please do so immediately.

Failure to do so within reasonable time (or if you have not contacted our office and requested an extension) may result in your removal from the team.

NCCP Introduction to Competition - Football $160

For coaches that are coaching athletes from 13-18 years old. Coaches will learn fundamentals and structure to improve their confidence and competence as a coahc. One of the key components is the Safe Contact which is most critical for the contact game of football. Required 12-hour clinic. Includes instruction, manual, workbook and future evaluation.

CFC National 7-on-7 tournament - British Columbia


Canada Football Chat is running a 7-on-7 tournament series across Canada this summer.

The BC tournament will take place on Sunday, July 13 at Mercer Stadium in New Westminster. Maximum 12 teams.

The Coquitlam Minor Football Association fall football registration dates will take place at Makin Park in Coquitlam on the following dates:

2014 Victoria All-Star Football Camp

The 2014 Victoria All-Star Camp will take place June 28-29 at Mt. Douglas Secondary School.

This Full Contact Football Camp will focus on Skill Development, Positional Play, Character and Team Building and is for all Positions.

The Staff will feature High Quality Coaching including former Professional and University players...Coach Tim Kearse, Coach Bob Molle, Coach Mark Townsend and a host of others.

This camp is for players aged 9 to 13 years old (born in 2001 to 2005) and costs $100 per player (includes practice jersey, lunch and report card). Register before April 30 and 
pay only $85.

These second annual coed camps are for players born between 2000-2008. The camps each run for one week and are for new and/or experienced players. Players will be taught positional football skills and development. We will finish each day with a flag football tournament.

UBC Pre-Season Football Skills Camp


This skills camp takes place on Sunday, August 10 at UBC Thunderbird Stadium from 10 am to 4 pm.
This camp will focus on developing the fundamentals at each position. The camp is divided into two separate focus areas; a) Run (OL/DL/RB/LB) & b) Pass (WR/DB/QB). During the online registration process players will have the choice to be in the Run focused camp or the Pass focused camp.

The camp will consist of 3 practices (2 on-field & 1 classroom) over a 6 hour period. On field skills will be taught and full equipment is required for these practices. The classroom session will include a breakdown of the film that is taken in the morning sessions and will be highly personalized in terms of feedback.

Lunch and Camp Jerseys will be provided for each player.

The cost is $99 per player (team rate available for 10+ players). The camp is split into two age groups: Junior (ages 12 - 14) and Senior (15 - 17).

30th Anniversary SFU Football Camp

New Head Coach Jacques Chapdelaine and the SFU Football program are proud to lead the 30th year of this full-contact camp that develops the talent and skills of young football players.

The camp consists of four days of practices designed to help take players to the next level.

The camp runs from June 26 to 29. Deadline to register is June 20.

The 2014 Russell Wilson Passing Academy

Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson is bringing the Russell Wilson Passing Academy to Ambleside Park in West Vancouver on Saturday, July 5.

All positions and skills set are welcome, and no prior football experience is required. The camp is for ages 9 to 17 and runs from 9 am to 4 pm.

Camp activities include positional training, team-based drills, film room study, and fundamental training from some of the biggest stars in the NFL.

Football BC elementary school skills program

Football BC's elementary school skills program is open to all school aged children and is conducted during regular school hours usually as part of P.E. class.

This program allows kids to learn basic football skills from Football BC coaches as well as volunteer players from local high schools.
