2015 Provincial Flag Champions crowned

1500+ athletes. 655 games. 141 teams. Two days.

That, in a nutshell, was the 2015 BCCFA Flag Football Provincial Championships.

At the conclusion of the two-day tournament held in beautiful Kelowna at the Mission Sports Fields, four teams emerged as the cream of the crop and have earned Flag Football bragging rights at least until next year when the BCCFA returns for what should be another huge event.

A job well-done to all the participating players and teams, a hat tip to all the coaches, referees and volunteers, and a big congratulations to all of this year's winners.

U10: Coquitlam Raptors Siddoo
U12: North Delta Longhorns Black
U14: AllStar Youth Sport Pickering
U16: AllStar Youth Sport Philpot

Quarterback & Receiver Training with integrated R4 Passing Clinic

Dates: June 26 & 27

Location: New Westminster Secondary School

Canada Football Academy's Regional Development Training (RDC) follows the highly successful model of USA based National Football Academies Regional Training Camps. CFA's RDC is delievered by CFA/NFA Nationally Certifed Staff and is very intense instruction within a limited enrollment, small group format. Every Athlete receives individual coaching attention unique to a small group setting with a high coach to player ratio. RDC Sessions are built on NFA's proven development model that accelerates understanding and execution of each player's primary movements (mechanics) while helping them develop the ability to self-correct, not self-destruct under pressure. Working with NFA Senior Certified staff and learning "Self Correction" principles will give you the competitive advantage you're looking for in preparation for the upcoming season. In addition to the standard QB/Receiver Training, this 2 Day Training will also include Training in the R4 Passing System for Coaches and Athletes!

Lui Passaglia - Push for Your Tush walk/run

In 2014, Lui Passaglia - former BC Lion, Canadian Football Hall-of-Famer and Canadian Sports Hall-of-Famer - was diagnosed with stage three colon cancer.

The diagnosis came as a complete shock for legendary CFL kicker.

Fortunately, Lui is now healthy and currently cancer-free and this experience has inspired him to share his story and raise funds to fight this disease.

Lui joined Colon Cancer Canada's Push for Your Tush walk/run and last year, in Vancouver alone, they raised over $50,000.

Lui, a former Notre Dame Juggler and SFU Clan player, is looking for the support of his amateur football family to help with his cause by joining his Push for Your Tush walk/run or by donating.

Lui Passaglia's Push for Your Tush walk/run takes place on:

Date: Sunday, June 14, 2015

Location: Jericho Beach

Registration: 9 a.m.

Walk/Run: 10:15 a.m.
