2012 Senior Bowl game location, time announced

Football BC is pleased to announce that the site of the 2012 Senior Bowl game to take place on Saturday, March 24 will be McLeod Athletic Park in Langley, BC.

McLeod Stadium is home to the Community-based Langley Minor Football, the Langley Saints of BC High School Football, and the Langley Rams of the BCFC. It has also been the home of the BC Community Football Association 12-man Provincial Championship for the past three years and also hosted the 2009 Subway Bowl.

Kickoff for this year's Senior Bowl game will be at 10 am PT.

Registration open for NCCP Clinics at SFU on March 16 & 17

Registration is now open for the NCCP Introduction to Competition course (March 16-17) and the Community Initiation course (March 16) taking place at SFU. To register for these courses, please visit The deadline to register for the courses at SFU is Wednesday, March 14.

Football BC mourns loss of Pat Impellezzere

Football BC would like express our condolences to the friends and family of Coach Pat Impellezzere and to the entire Cloverdale Community Football Association following the passing of Coach Impellezzere this past Tuesday, February 28.

A funeral service for Coach Impellezzere will be held on Sunday, March 4 at 2 pm at Unit #700 - 1515 Broadway Street in Port Coquitlam.

The family has requested in lieu of flowers for donations to be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

All are welcome to the funeral service and are asked to dress in orange if possible to celebrate his life.

Senior Bowl program advertising opportunity

Eric Hamber Football Program seeking coaches

The Eric Hamber Griffins Football Program in Vancouver is looking for coaches. We are the only public school football program in Vancouver and we're expanding our program.

We are in need of dedicated, knowledgeable coaches interested in helping us build our program and who are keen in helping our athletes develop into booth football players and outstanding young men.

This year's dinner, in support of amateur football in British Columbia, will be held on March 30, 2012 at the Westin Bayshore in Vancouver.

BC Lions' Paul McCallum named BC's best athlete

Football BC would like to congratulate current BC Lions player and Surrey Ram alumnus Paul McCallum for being voted as BC's best athlete.

McCallum, a two-time Grey Cup champion, beat out teammate Andrew Harris as well as Christine Sinclair, Dylan Armstrong and Mark Recchi in the online vote.

McCallum will receive the Best of BC award on Thursday, March 8 at Sport BC's 46th annual Athlete of the Year Awards presented by TELUS. For more information, click here.

UBC 2012 Football Camps schedule

The UBC Thunderbirds have released their schedule of upcoming camps in the 2012 calendar year. Please visit for costs and information on all their camps.

Upcoming Jay Prepchuk camps

Jay Prepchuk is currently the head coach of the Handsworth Royals and will be serving as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach of the provincial under-18 team (Team BC) for a second consecutive year this upcoming summer.

The Football Academy continues - sign up for the next session today!

Aspiring players aged 14 to 17 who want to receive high level football training are encouraged to take part in The Football Academy. Registration is on-going.

Football BC is supporting this program to enhance each players' skill set and performance on the field through proven techniques designed to improve each participants' 40-yard dash, pro agility, vertical, speed, acceleration, injury prevention as well as overall strength and fitness.

Okanagan Pro-Am Football Camp

Participants can register now for the 6th annual Okanagan Pro-Am Football Camp (May 5 or May 6) in Kelowna, BC.

This is one of the top football camps in Canada where participants get to be coached by some of the best current former NFL and CFL players. Players will improve and develop their skills individually and by position.
