Senior Bowl game takes place this Saturday, March 23 at Percy Perry Stadium in Coquitlam

The 2013 Senior Bowl camp is now underway at the BC Lions Training Facility in Surrey.

Parents, friends and football fans are invited to come down to watch the players be put through their paces throughout the week. A schedule of events for the camp can be found here.

The camp will culminate with an intrasquad game this Saturday at Percy Perry Stadium in Coquitlam. Kickoff is scheduled for 3 pm and admission is free.


Registration is now open for the 2013 Football BC Provincial Conference - April 20-21

Registration is now open for the 2013 Football BC Provincial Conference to be held at Notre Dame Regional Secondary School in Vancouver.

The Conference will run on Saturday, April 20 (9 am to 5 pm) and Sunday, April 21 (9 am to 3 pm).

Confirmed speakers include Dan Dorazio and Mark Washington from the BC Lions, long-time high school and University coach Joe McCulley from FBU, and Alexis Sanschagrin from the Belmont Bulldogs of BC High School Football.

The cost for an individual registrant is $90. For a staff of up to five coaches, the cost is $360.

Coaches will also be able to complete their NCCP training as well at the Conference. NCCP Community Initiation is available at no additional charge. NCCP Introduction to Competition is available for an additional $70 per coach.

2013 Provincial Evaluation Testing Results now available

Football BC has released the testing results from the various provincial evaluations that took place in February-March 2013 across the province.

Simon Fraser University Pro Day - March 30

Simon Fraser University will be holding its inaugural NFL Pro Day on Saturday, March 30. The event will be held at Fox Field at the SFU Burnaby Campus from 12 pm to 4 pm.

The best collegiate football players across Canada are invited to attend this event that will feature pro scouts.

Sentinel Secondary School seeking volunteer coaches

Sentinel Secondary school is seeking volunteers to fill a number of coaching positions.

They are seeking for coaches for the offensive line, running backs, defensive line and linebackers at both the Varsity and Junior Varsity level.

2013 Orange Helmet Awards Dinner featuring Ronnie Lott as the keynote speaker

Pro Football Hall-of-Famer Ronnie Lott will be the keynote speaker at the 2013 Orange Helmet Awards Dinner.

Lott, a defensive back, played 15 seasons in the NFL from 1981 to 1994 for the San Francisco 49ers, Los Angeles Raiders and New York Jets. A 10-time Pro Bowl selection and a four-time Super Bowl champion with the 49ers (1981, 1984, 1988, 1989), he was also a member of the NFL's 75th Anniversary All-Time Team and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2000.

His jersey #42 is also retired by the 49ers.

The 2013 Orange Helmet Awards Dinner, recognizing the 2012 Provincial Champions of amateur football in British Columbia, will be held on Friday, April 19, 2013 at The Westin Bayshore in Vancouver.

The Amateur Football rate is $200 per ticket or $2,000 for a table of 10. The Corporate rate is $250 per ticket or $2,500 for a table of 10. Taxes not included.


BC Football Hall of Fame seeking nominations for the Class of 2013

Nominations are welcomed for the 2013 Inductions to the BC Football Hall of Fame.

Categories include: Athlete (both amateur and professional), Builder, Pioneer, Media and Teams (both amateur and professional).

The Hall is looking for worthy candidates from across the province of British Columbia, especially in the amateur categories.

FBU Camp returns to Vancouver on May 3-5; Register online now using code "CAN3"

Damon Allen High School Quarterback Challenge 2013

The Damon Allen High School Quarterback Challenge is coming to the Richmond Oval on Friday, May 10.

The event is open to all high school-aged quarterbacks and participants have an opportunity to win a scholarship.

UBC T-Birds Football Pass & Run Fundamentals Camps 2013

The UBC Thunderbirds have released their camp schedule for 2013.

Camps will be held in a number of locations including Vancouver, Vancouver Island and Kelowna.  (Please note that the Vancouver camp previously scheduled for January 13 has now been pushed back to January 27).

All camps are for players aged 12-17 and include lunch, jersey and individual assessment.

Lawyer Milloy & Golden Tate Football Camp

The Lawyer Milloy and Golden Tate Football Camp will be taking place from July 14-17, 2013 at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington. 

Campers learn from outstanding veteran college and high school coaches and the staff is complimented with Lawyer Milloy and Golden Tate and current and/or former members of the Seattle Seahawks. 

Campers are grouped by age, position, ability and experience to allow coaches to progressively teach basic and advanced techniques to best benefit each group. Campers are taught at an approximately 10:1 ratio. 

Campers receive 6 hours of instruction each day.
