Team BC announces rosters for U16 teams to compete at Red River Cup

Team BC has announced the players that have earned a spot on the provincial teams set to compete at the U16 Red River Cup tournament in Winnipeg, Manitoba from July 5 to 12.

The players were selected from the athletes that attended the 2014 Team BC May Long Weekend camp.

Details on costs and registrations will be emailed to the players directly. We ask all players be prompt with their payments as soon as the information is released in order to confirm their spot.

Coach Dino's post-camp address to Team BC players

The 2014 Team BC May Long Weekend camp is in the books. Over 230 athletes combined between the U16 and U18 divisions attended the camp that was led by coaches Jay Prepchuk, Nick Kawaza and Sean Roden and featured many coaches from across the football community at all levels, plus guest appearances by current and former pros.

Many Universities across the province were also well-represented at the camp. Thank you to all the universities that took the time to come out and check out the incredible crop of football players we have in this province.

Register now for the "BC Tough" Football Camp taking place THIS SATURDAY

The "BC Tough" Football Camp takes place on May 24 at Burnaby Central Secondary School from 9 am to 6 pm.

This football camp brings players together with the top provincial coaches as well as players from the BC Lions and CFL.  The camp is for 10-18 year olds and costs $95 (t-shirt and lunch included).

This is a full-contact camp and full equipment is required. If you do not have your own equipment, you may rent them for the day at an additional cost of $30. (Must arrive one hour early if you are renting equipment).

Football BC Scrap Metal Drive - May 31/June 1

Football BC will be hosting a Scrap Metal Drive on May 31 and June 1 (9 am to 5 pm on both days) at our Football BC office located at 6939 Hastings St. in Burnaby.

The monies raised goes to support our provincial programs such as the Football BC Combine, Team BC and Senior Bowl.

If you have some unwanted scraps of metal that you would like to contribute to our cause, please bring them by!

All metals are welcome!

NCCP Introduction to Competition - Football $160

For coaches that are coaching athletes from 13-18 years old. Coaches will learn fundamentals and structure to improve their confidence and competence as a coahc. One of the key components is the Safe Contact which is most critical for the contact game of football. Required 12-hour clinic. Includes instruction, manual, workbook and future evaluation.

5th annual SFU Athletics Gathering of the Clan Fundraising Breakfast

This year's annual event will be held on May 30 and will be hosted by Brian Williams with Richard Sherman of the Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks serving as the keynote speaker. All proceeds from this event go to support SFU student athlete scholarships. For more details, click here.


White Rock South Surrey Titans Football Skills Camp

CFC National 7-on-7 tournament - British Columbia

Canada Football Chat is running a 7-on-7 tournament series across Canada this summer.

The BC tournament will take place on Sunday, July 13 at Mercer Stadium in New Westminster. Maximum 12 teams.

2014 Victoria All-Star Football Camp

The 2014 Victoria All-Star Camp will take place June 28-29 at Mt. Douglas Secondary School.

This Full Contact Football Camp will focus on Skill Development, Positional Play, Character and Team Building and is for all Positions.

The Staff will feature High Quality Coaching including former Professional and University players...Coach Tim Kearse, Coach Bob Molle, Coach Mark Townsend and a host of others.

This camp is for players aged 9 to 13 years old (born in 2001 to 2005) and costs $100 per player (includes practice jersey, lunch and report card). Register before April 30 and 
pay only $85.

UBC Pre-Season Football Skills Camp

This skills camp takes place on Sunday, August 10 at UBC Thunderbird Stadium from 10 am to 4 pm.
This camp will focus on developing the fundamentals at each position. The camp is divided into two separate focus areas; a) Run (OL/DL/RB/LB) & b) Pass (WR/DB/QB). During the online registration process players will have the choice to be in the Run focused camp or the Pass focused camp.

The camp will consist of 3 practices (2 on-field & 1 classroom) over a 6 hour period. On field skills will be taught and full equipment is required for these practices. The classroom session will include a breakdown of the film that is taken in the morning sessions and will be highly personalized in terms of feedback.

Lunch and Camp Jerseys will be provided for each player.

The cost is $99 per player (team rate available for 10+ players). The camp is split into two age groups: Junior (ages 12 - 14) and Senior (15 - 17).

Football BC is asking the football community to join us in a fundraiser that will allow our entire football community to help raise money for all six of our Team BC programs as well as enable us to deliver more of our "Play Football" programs in elementary schools.

30th Anniversary SFU Football Camp

New Head Coach Jacques Chapdelaine and the SFU Football program are proud to lead the 30th year of this full-contact camp that develops the talent and skills of young football players.

The camp consists of four days of practices designed to help take players to the next level.

The camp runs from June 26 to 29. Deadline to register is June 20.

The 2014 Russell Wilson Passing Academy

Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson is bringing the Russell Wilson Passing Academy to Ambleside Park in West Vancouver on Saturday, July 5.

All positions and skills set are welcome, and no prior football experience is required. The camp is for ages 9 to 17 and runs from 9 am to 4 pm.

Camp activities include positional training, team-based drills, film room study, and fundamental training from some of the biggest stars in the NFL.

Football BC elementary school skills program

Football BC's elementary school skills program is open to all school aged children and is conducted during regular school hours usually as part of P.E. class.

This program allows kids to learn basic football skills from Football BC coaches as well as volunteer players from local high schools.
