Vancouver's own Christian Covington selected by Houston Texans in 2015 NFL Draft
Vancouver-born Christian Covington is now the latest British Columbian to reach the NFL ranks.
Covington was selected in the sixth round, 216th overall, by the Houston Texans on the final day of the 2015 NFL Draft.
Covington, who played high school football with the Vancouver College Fighting Irish, declared for the draft following his junior season at Rice University.
Rice University is located in Houston which, in some ways, makes Covington also a local product for his new NFL club.
