Football BC welcomes the following Universities and their representatives to this weekend's camp.

- University of Saskatchewan - Brian Guebert

- University of Guelph - Kevin MacNeill

- Carleton University - Steve Sumarah

- University of Manitoba - Brian Dobie

The camp schedule can be found here.

Football BC, in partnership with the BC Lions, is proud to award six (6) bursaries in the amount of $1,000 each to select players following the 2015 Team BC May Long Weekend Camp. These bursaries will be awarded to the players who demonstrate on- and off-field excellence as well as leadership qualities. The bursaries are contingent on the player playing University football in Canada and will be held in trust by Football BC until after the player's first academic semester at a Canadian University institution when the player can provide proof of academic good-standing as well as participation as an active player on the football team.

There will be two (2) bursaries made available to the U16 players, and four (4) bursaries made available to the U18 players.

Chungh highlights list of BC-boys taken in 2015 CFL Draft

Former Terry Fox Ravens star Sukh Chungh will be joining Team BC alumnus Matthias Goossen on the offensive line of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

The Bombers made Chungh the second overall pick in the 2015 CFL Draft held on Tuesday, May 12.

Chungh, who played collegiately at the University of Calgary under the tutelage of new UBC head coach Blake Nill, was the first of several players with BC connections taken in the Draft.

REC Lemar Durant, a graduate of Centennial Secondary in Coquitlam who starred with the SFU Clan last season after transferring from the University of Nevada-Reno, was the next BC-boy to go off the board after being taken with the final pick of the second round, 18th overall, by the Calgary Stampeders. Durant was the only player from SFU to be selected in the Draft.

Vancouver College graduate REC Adam Konar, who also played with the Langley Rams before his stint with the University of Calgary, was taken by the Edmonton Eskimos 25th overall in the third round.

Another former Vancouver College superstar, OL Christian Covington, who was ranked the top prospect by CFL Scouting Bureau and was selected just over a week ago in the NFL Draft by the Houston Texans, fell as a result of the uncertainty of whether or not he would join the CFL. That wouldn't stop the hometown BC Lions from nabbing the Rice University standout with the 43rd overall pick in the fifth round.

UBC receiver Daniel English, who hails from Mississauga, Ontario, was taken in the sixth round, 52nd overall, by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. English, who played high school football with the New Westminster Hyacks, was the lone T-Bird to be selected in the Draft.

DB Dexter Janke, who played with the Okanagan Sun this past season, was taken in the fifth round, 44th overall, by the Calgary Stampeders.

Lui Passaglia - Push for Your Tush walk/run

In 2014, Lui Passaglia - former BC Lion, Canadian Football Hall-of-Famer and Canadian Sports Hall-of-Famer - was diagnosed with stage three colon cancer.

The diagnosis came as a complete shock for legendary CFL kicker.

Fortunately, Lui is now healthy and currently cancer-free and this experience has inspired him to share his story and raise funds to fight this disease.

Lui joined Colon Cancer Canada's Push for Your Tush walk/run and last year, in Vancouver alone, they raised over $50,000.

Lui, a former Notre Dame Juggler and SFU Clan player, is looking for the support of his amateur football family to help with his cause by joining his Push for Your Tush walk/run or by donating.

Lui Passaglia's Push for Your Tush walk/run takes place on:

Date: Sunday, June 14, 2015

Location: Jericho Beach

Registration: 9 a.m.

Walk/Run: 10:15 a.m.

Distances: 1K Toddler Walk, 5K Walk, 10K Run
