Only a few tables remain for the 2009 Subway All-Star Awards Banquet

Only a few tables remain for the 2009 Subway All-Star Awards Banquet

Support and celebrate the 2009 BC High School Football season in style by purchasing a ticket or a table for the upcoming 2009 Subway All-Star Awards banquet.

The banquet is a first class event and is an opportunity to showcase BC High School Football, its corporate sponsors, dedicated staff, and student athletes and their families.

Many of the individuals being honoured on this night will have taken their last snap in high school football at the end of the November and this unforgettable evening is a celebration of all they have accomplished and serves as their version of a Grey Cup, Super Bowl and Hall of Fame induction all rolled up in one night.

The banquet will take place on Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at the Delta Burnaby Hotel & Conference Centre. Tickets are only $60 each or $600 for a table of 10. As of this writing, there are only 15 tables remaining so order your tickets today and don’t miss out on this special night.

VI Raiders seeking perfection

The VI Raiders are looking to post a perfect season for the second time in the last four seasons.

The Raiders posted their ninth win of the season this past Sunday with a 43-3 thumping of the Okanagan Sun at Apple Bowl to run their record to a perfect 9-0 in what was a potential first-round playoff preview for the Raiders and Sun.

The British Columbia Football Conference regular season closes out this weekend with every team except the Kamloops Broncos in action. The Vancouver Trojans (1-8) close out a disappointing 2008 campaign with a visit to Bear Mountain Stadium to face the Victoria Rebels (5-4) at 4:00pm PT on Saturday, October 17th while the South Surrey Rams (7-2) host the Okanagan Sun (5-4) at the South Surrey Athletic Park at 7:00pm PT that same night.

On Sunday, October 18th, the Raiders go for perfection when they visit Exhibition Stadium and the only team standing in their way is the Chilliwack Huskers (3-6). Kickoff is 2pm PT.

The BCFC is hosting this year’s Canadian Bowl, the Canadian Junior Football League Championship showcase, meaning the BCFC Champion will receive an automatic bye to the finals. The CJFL is comprised of teams from three conferences: the BCFC, the Prairie Football Conference (PFC), and the Ontario Football Conference (OFC).

The new website is being designed by Deejays.com, the same fine company that maintains our Football BC website.

We remind all fans to update their bookmarks to the new BCCFA site.
