BCFC Week 8 schedule - All games on Saturday, September 14

Okanagan Sun vs Valley Huskers - 1 pm at Exhibition Stadium

The Sun will be an angry bunch this weekend when they hit up the Fraser Valley to take on the Huskers. The Sun suffered their first on-field loss this season last week after being spanked 45-17 by the VI Raiders. The Huskers, meanwhile, are reeling having lost three straight games including dropping a 25-20 decision last week to the Kamloops Broncos.

Langley Rams vs VI Raiders - 2 pm at Caledonia Park

After pulling off a huge victory over the Sun last weekend, the Raiders aim for a repeat this weekend when they take on the No. 1 team in the league - the Langley Rams - in a repeat of last year's Cullen Cup championship game. The Rams got back to their winning ways last week by pummeling the Westshore Rebels 49-17. The Rams defeated the Raiders 36-28 at Caledonia Park back on August 10.

Westshore Rebels vs Kamloops Broncos - 7 pm at Hillside Stadium

It may be a battle of the bottom dwellers in this match-up but that doesn't mean there aren't potential playoff ramifications. Both the Rebels and Broncos have just one win on the season but both are looking to reel in the Valley Huskers for that fourth and final playoff spot. The Broncos, one might suggest, have the hot hand after picking up their first win last weekend. This is the first of two meetings these two teams will have in the next three weeks.

SFU Clan enjoy bye week after stunning Humboldt State last Saturday

A break in their schedule might be the last thing the SFU Clan would have wanted considering they're coming off perhaps their biggest NCAA win in team history.

The Clan began their campaign last Saturday with a stunning 41-27 win on the road over the top-ranked Humboldt State Lumberjacks.

The big win also earned a pair of Clan players some individual accolades as Ryan Stanford (Phoenix, AZ) and Casey Chin (Port Moody, BC) were named the Red Lion offensive and defensive players of the week, respectively, by the Great Northwest Athletic Conference.

The Clan return to action on September 21 when they travel to Ellensburg, WA to battle the defending GNAC champions, the Central Washington Wildcats.
